Japanese calligraphy is the art of writing beautiful characters with ink on paper using a writing brush. It is possible not only to write beautiful characters as letters, but also to express the individual characters as imagery.

Cancellation Policy

We require 3 days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled lesson, otherwise we will charge you cancellation fee as below.

 * 100% of your total amount will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation or any changes on your scheduled arrival or No show.

 * 50% of of your total amount will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation or any changes by 3 days before your scheduled arrival.

 Even if you are forced to cancel at the last minute in the case of
an emergency, we would appreciate notification from you.

I am originally from Shizuoka city, Central Japan. Shizuoka is known as top green tea producing prefecture in Japan. You can experience 100% matcha ink only here. I am very honor of this is registered as Shoran's original trademark.
It smells delicious and beautiful aroma to be relaxed.

Atmosphere is traditional and relaxing, located just behind Sensoji temple. You can have a unique fun and exciting cultural experience in Japan!

 SHORAN
Born in Japan, and educated in Australia and the U.S. She has taught calligraphy classes in California under a Cultural Exchange Artist Visa issued by the U.S. State Department. Shoran has been praised for her art while performing in Japan, the U.S.A, and Europe. She grew up under the influence of her Master Calligrapher grandfather. Shoran graduated from Japan Calligraphy Academy in Tokyo.Now her class is in Shizuoka and Asakusa, Japan.In addition to Calligraphy, she also does package, interior and many other types of design.

静岡のお抹茶を使った書道、抹茶書®️が体験出来ます。香りがたち、リラックスした環境で、日本がさらに好きになるひと時をお楽しみください。

墨と違って時が経つと、抹茶の色が徐々に変わっていきます。
その様子が、日本の四季の移り変わりのようで、「懐かしさや はかなさや 美しさ」を感じます。

書の道を歩むキッカケとなったのは書道師範の祖父の存在です。
のどかな茶畑の中にあった、祖父の書道教室は私の原点であり、財産です。

書道師範だった私の祖父は、以前茶畑の中の教室で書道を教えていました。
祖父の影響で私も書の道に進みましたので、その原点を大切に思っています。

抹茶で書を書くことによって、
祖先がいて今の自分がいるという尊敬と誇りの思いや、
「静」の時間に入っていくような
安心感で包まれる感覚を世界に広めたいです。
